During the last couple of weeks, I have been playing around with Apophysis and creating fractals. It's a fascinating program with endless possibilities where one can create some very interesting and complex designs. Even without any mathematical knowledge (like myself ) one can stumble upon some very unique and beautiful designs.

Here lies my dilemma, how much artistic talent does this program, and fractals in general, take from the individual artist? I don't know. I wish I could have a little more control with my designs where I could actually start with a visual idea and then create it in Apophysis. As of now, I feel like I just blindly blaze through the program until I happen to stumble upon something that looks right to me. I don't know, is it the luck of the draw that happens when I create something nice, or is it me? Anyway, what do you think?
